THINGS TO DO

FREE

Texas State Capitol - 14 feet taller than the US Capitol building, many visitors say it's the most impressive state legislative building they've ever seen. Free guided tours, which generally last about 30 minutes, or self-guided tours via brochures.

Zilker Metropolitan Park - FREE! 351 acre park with art museums, swimming, nature center, and a Dino pit??

Sixth Street - Some compare it to Bourbon Street in NOLA. Live music GALORE.

Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center - $12 for adults, $6 for kids, kids under 4 are free

Barton Springs Pool (not free) - Inside Zilker Metropolitan Park. Formed from underground springs, the 3-acre pool consistently stays between 68 and 70 degrees! It’s free if you go before 8am between March and October, but if not, it's a cheap $8 for adults, $3 or 4 for kids.

Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library - $10 for adults, 12 and under are free
